It Happened At The World's Fair – ELVIS PRESLEY***

Beyond The Bend/Relax/Take Me To The Fair/They Remind Me Too Much Of You/One Broken Heart For Sale/I’m Falling In Love Tonight/Cotton Candy Land/World Of Our Own/How Would You Like To Be/Happy Ending

Elvis soundtrack album It Happened at the World's Fair includes the US No. 11 hit single One Broken Heart For Sale which stalled at No. 12 in the UK, after five consecutive chart toppers. Pundits at the time attributed its relatively poor showing to its short length, less than a minute and a half. (US:4 UK:4)

"The movie It Happened At The World's Fair is lightweight in the extreme, but as that's what it sets out to be, one can't be too harsh. However, Elvis is in stunning form, absolutely faultless. This is Elvis at his slickest and most polished."

"There is material for Elvis to exercise his talent on, even if not to stretch it. Beyond The Bend and Happy Ending are both fine lightweight pop efforts."

"They Remind Me Too Much Of You is a beautiful ballad and could not be sung any better."

"I'm Falling In Love Tonight is excellent, Elvis could really sing a song."

"One Broken Heart For Sale is bouncy, easy going rock & roll."

"One Broken Heart For Sale is a true masterpiece and it should be way better known than it actually is."
