Back To Back – THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS****

Ebb Tide/God Bless The Child/Hot Tamales/Hallelujah I Love Her So/She’s Mine All Mine/Hung On You/For Sentimental Reasons/White Cliffs Of Dover/Losing You/Without A Doubt/Late Late Night

Back To Back was the final Phil Spector label Philles release from The Righteous Brothers. Includes the US No. 5 hit single Ebb Tide. Shamefully, none of the original Righteous Brothers albums appear to have been released on CD. (US:16)

"The Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, never hesitated to dig deep into a ballad to be able to convey every subtle nuance of each word they ever sang, and their adoring fans loved them for it."

"It's hard to believe that this duo, while long gone, doesn't have the long term appeal and staying power of other oldies groups."

"These guys were a little out of their element in party mode, but once they got down to some gorgeous ballads, the classics that resulted are nothing short of awesome."

"A splendid rendition of The White Cliffs Of Dover, this late World War Two era ballad sounds so fresh and new when The Righteous Brothers deliver it with panache. I think many a World War Two era recording artist would be just a bit jealous of their wonderful treatment of this tune."

"What a beautiful melody on Ebb Tide, what a deep composition. Every time I listen this song I simply cry of emotion."

"Hung On You is just a great song from one of the most dynamic duos America ever produced."
